A CHRISTMAS CAROL
On the 10th of December we saw an English play in “Theater Spielraum”, titled “A Christmas Carol”, with Prof. Merlingen. It tells the story of an old, grumpy man called Ebenezer Scrooge, who absolutely despises Christmas. We think everyone knows the story about the three Christmas spirits. But in this play, they slightly changed the story in a very creative way that made the show unique and awesome.
But what is the difference?
The beginning of the play is about a film director with a similar personality to Mr. Scrooge’s, who gets trapped in the play of “A Christmas Carol”, which he finds awfully scripted by his staff. The story continues like the original version and in the end, he sees that Christmas is about sharing with people in need and showing kindness.
We thought the play was very impressive and we enjoyed it very much. The actors and actresses had amazing skills and made the show special.
